Update to "what makes design good?" and competition result

For those of you following the Ebook Cover Design Award badge competition over on The Book Designer, the final winner has been announced. Here’s the winning entry:

I have a concern that some of the text will be lost at smaller sizes and the retro design is off-brand for ebooks, which are after all a very recent development.
